Trudeau Liberals to introduce new declaration on the rights of children and youth

Sources within the Governemnt of Canada have revealed that the Trudeau government is proceeding with legislation which will enshrine specific rights and privelges for Canada's children and youth.  The proposed legislation was leaked to Canada's Satirical News Agency (CSNA) just yesterday.  The legislation will codify into law much of what the Trudeau Liberals have been promoting during their nearly ten years of governing.

The wording of the legislation very much resembles the statement of rights that one receives from law enforcement.  In the United States these are referred to as Miranda Rights, while in Canada these rights are contained within the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

CSNA is reporting that new legislation is required because ammeding the Charter of Rights and Freedoms requires satisfying the constitution's ammending formula which is nearly impossible.  The Canadian Constitution has never been ammended.  Only two attempts have been made to ammend the constitution, with the Meech Lake and and Charlottetown Accords.  Both those attempts failed to achieve ratification.

Parliament will be called upon to ratify the following legislation, and the bill (as yet not numbered) states that:

Canada's children and youth have the right to declare their gender.  If they are unsure as to their gender they shall be declared gender fluid and they shall have the right to change their gender identity as often or as seldom as they wish.

Canada's children and youth have the right to be protected from anything they might find offensive. Any child or youth who feels offended is entitled to bring their complaints forward to an agency which will be created after this legislation receives Royal Assent.  Details regarding what redress will be provided to children and youth who have been offended will be addressed in further legislation that will be forthcoming after parlimanetary hearings and consulation with constituent groups.

These rights are to be enshrined with a child being any Canadian citizen capable of communicating their thoughts and their truths.  This communication includes, but is not limited to verbal communication.  Younger children can state their preferences or show offense by other means that can include acting out, yelling or screaming as well as other displays.

As a progressive and enlightened nation it is incumbant on the Government of Canada to ensure that vulnerable youth and children have their every hope, whim and desire accomodated.

A Liberal Parliamentary steering committee is currently meeting with members of both the NDP and Bloc Québecois caucuses to ensure adequate support in order to assure passage of the legislation when it is introduced onto the parliamentary calendar later this year.
